Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Trackmarket is an independent comparison site for UK track days. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
We collect as little as possible. If you only browse the site, we do not collect anything that identifies you.
Who we are. Trackmarket is operated by Findley Cameron, who is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. You can get in touch about anything in this policy at contact@trackmarket.co.uk.
1. If you only browse the site
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
We record the following, none of which identifies you:
- Searches — the circuit, dates, price limit and session type you searched for, and how many results came back. No identifier is stored alongside this.
- Page views — which page was viewed, which circuit it related to, and the website you arrived from, if any.
- Clicks through to organisers — which event was clicked, and when. A random identifier is generated for your browser tab so we can tell whether a search led to a click. It exists only for the life of that tab, is deleted when you close it, and is never linked to you or carried between visits.
We use this to understand which circuits people are looking for and whether the site is useful — for instance, to spot that a circuit is searched for often but has few listings, so we know which organisers to approach.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Our interest is in understanding and improving the site. Because none of this is linked to an individual, the effect on your privacy is minimal.
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or browser fingerprinting to follow visitors between sites. It gives us aggregate visitor numbers only.
2. If you sign up for track day alerts
If you ask us to email you about track days, we store:
- your email address
- the circuits you are interested in
- any maximum price you set
- the date you gave consent, and the date you confirmed it
We do not ask for your name, and we collect nothing else.
What we send. One email a week, listing new and changed track day listings at the circuits you chose. Nothing else. We do not send advertising on behalf of other companies.
Lawful basis: consent. You give it by ticking the box on the signup form and confirming through the link we email you. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing contact@trackmarket.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails we sent before you withdrew it.
We do not sell your email address, share it with track day organisers, or pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
3. If you email us
If you contact us — to report an error in a listing, or for any other reason — we keep your message and email address so we can reply and, where relevant, correct the listing.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests, in replying to correspondence and keeping our data accurate.
4. Who else handles your data
We use the following services. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf.
| Service | What it does | Where data is held |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosts our database, including alert signups | London, United Kingdom |
| Lovable | Hosts the website | European Union |
| Cloudflare | DNS, and privacy-focused website analytics | Global network |
| Zoho Mail | Our email inbox | European Union |
| Resend | Sends the weekly alert emails | United States |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the fonts used on the site | Global |
Email sending. Resend is a United States company. Even where emails are dispatched from its European sending region, account data, delivery logs and message metadata are stored in the United States.
Fonts. Our pages currently load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. We intend to host these fonts ourselves so this no longer happens.
International transfers. Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the providers' own safeguards, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or adequacy decisions.
5. How long we keep things
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Alert signup email and preferences | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep a record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again by mistake. |
| Signups never confirmed | 30 days, then deleted |
| Search and page view records | 24 months |
| Outbound click records | 24 months |
| Email correspondence | 24 months after the conversation ends |
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct it if it is wrong
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive a copy of data you gave us, in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these, email contact@trackmarket.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is your email address, and only if you signed up for alerts. Unsubscribing deals with that — but you are welcome to ask us to delete the record entirely.
Complaints. If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Our listings
Trackmarket lists track days published by third-party organisers. We take no bookings and handle no payments. Prices, availability and event details are recorded from organisers' own published listings and may be out of date. The organiser's own website is the authoritative source. If you spot something wrong on our site, please tell us at contact@trackmarket.co.uk — we would rather hear it from you than have someone turn up at a circuit on bad information.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If we change it in a way that materially affects how we use your data, we will say so in the weekly email before the change takes effect.
